Phil Van Ornum

As a fine furniture craftsman, I have devoted over 30 years to working with wood as an art form to create custom furniture and special occasion gifts.

My journey began at a young age when I was introduced to the family workshop. I was immediately drawn to the art of woodwork and encouraged to further develop my skills. Throughout the years I was also very fortunate to have worked with several American Masters of the craft, learning new tips and techniques along the way.

I strive for a level of individuality in my woodwork and style, using multiple wood species to create unique patterns to enhance the beauty of the natural wood color. You can find my pieces at local galleries and art festivals throughout the year. I can also be commissioned for custom woodwork creations.
